Celebrate International Women’s Day with Us this March

International Women’s Day – coming up on March 8th – offers an opportunity to celebrate women’s achievements and highlight the amazing work women are doing around the globe. The IWD theme for 2023 is #EmbraceEquity and we are here for it with open arms.

Did you know, out of approximately 582 million in the world, there are about 252 million women-owned businesses around the world?

At FORI.LIVE we are embracing this moment by supporting the incredible female makers and businesses across the globe. Here’s a few ways you can join the celebration:

  • Margaret Nyamumbo founded Kenyan coffee-brand Kahawa 1893 after realizing that women provide roughly ninety percent of farm-labor but own only one percent of the land. Featured on Shark Tank, Nyamumbo’s mission is to work directly with farmers to empower women and commit to transparency in farming to ensure that women farmers reap the rewards from their hard work. Order the best-selling Safari Blend in either whole bean or ground varieties here, and discover why Kenyan coffee is consistently ranked one of the best in the world.

  • Founded by friends and business partners Vivita and Avneet in 2012, The Wishing Chair offers whimsical, high-quality tableware and gifts that are handcrafted and designed in India by a team of highly-skilled craftswomen. From jewelry and accessories, table linen to wall décor, The Wishing Chair’s mission is to provide women with colorful, creative designs for their home while also supporting local communities in India by employing women artisans. Named for their favorite Enid Blyton book, The Adventures of The Wishing Chair, the founders shared:

“The chair was magical and could take you wherever you wished. We loved the transportive nature of this idea, and that our spaces should stir a certain nostalgic longing to that dreamy, joyful, happy place we all yearn for. And so, the name stuck.”

Their stunning collection of birthday gifts, candy colored tableware and so much more will make all your wishes come true.
